Making art is my way of living—an extension of who I am and how I connect with the world.
Creativity has been an intrinsic part of my personality for as long as I can remember, a natural response to exploring my inner world and translating it outward. Although my degree is in Mass Communication and Journalism, I see no difference between communication and art; both are bridges that connect the internal and external, allowing me to express thoughts and emotions that words alone cannot capture.
For me, the act of painting is a form of exploration and discovery, a way to delve into my subconscious and engage with the complexities of the world around me. I approach my work intuitively, without a fixed vision of the final outcome, allowing each piece to emerge organically.
My intuition serves as a guide, a catalyst that transforms unconscious thoughts, feelings, and dreams into tangible shapes and colors.
I am deeply inspired by the intricacies of everyday life and how our minds process experiences—whether through expression, suppression
or transformation. My work often reflects emotional states, inner conflicts, and subconscious impressions, prioritizing emotional resonance over realism.
Over the last few years, I’ve increasingly explored how art can serve as social commentary. I use my work to address issues such as the roles and expectations placed on women, the influence of consumerism, and the impact of media on shaping societal norms. In some series, I critique power structures, reflecting on topics like governmental control during the pandemic or the erosion of freedom of expression.
I work across various mediums—watercolors, acrylics, wax pastels, oil sticks, and inks—often combining them in unexpected ways. My supports range from paper and canvas to wood and other found materials. In the last four years, I’ve incorporated collage into my practice, using magazine cutouts, marketing materials, documents, and found objects. These materials, loaded with cultural significance, create layered images that invite viewers to reflect on their own existence and how external forces influence our perceptions and choices.
Through my art, I aim to create a dialogue with the viewer—inviting them to question, feel, and discover alongside me.
